The ALIO website is provided as an information and convenience tool for the travel industry and especially travel agents and agencies. The purpose of the website is to allow travel councillors to electronically access information pertaining to the products offered by ALIO. This website also provides the Terms & Conditions applicable to all transactions made with ALIO.
WHEN MAKING A TRANSACTION WITH ALIO THROUGH OUR WEBSITE OR OTHERWISE, THE TRAVEL AGENCY CONFIRMS THAT IT HAS READ, UNDERSTOOD AND ACCEPTED ALIO'S TERMS AND CONDITIONS HEREIN, WHICH ARE APPLICABLE TO ALL TRANSACTIONS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY, THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO PAYMENTS.
ALIO STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT THE TRAVEL AGENCY READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE MAKING ANY TRAVEL TRANSACTION WITH ALIO.
While it is possible to make bookings electronically for some of the ALIO products, the act of reserving a product electronically does not imply a final confirmation or commitment by ALIO to actually deliver the product reserved at the prices indicated.
A final confirmation and price are only given by ALIO once it has issued a final invoice and delivered tickets or other travel documents for the product(s) reserved. Terms and conditions of the confirmation and sale will vary depending on the product reserved and are generally set out in the company's brochures, website or other notices issued from time to time.
ALIO reserves the right to refuse any passenger on its tours or travel arrangements. Should ALIO cancel a trip, its sole responsibility to the passengers will be to refund any sums they may have paid (subject to the cancellation charges) and such refund shall constitute a full and final settlement. No representative or agent of ALIO is authorized to modify or cancel any clause whatsoever of the present Terms and Conditions.
A deposit or full payment must be received before the reservation can be confirmed. For any reservation which includes an airline ticket, full payment of the airline ticket is required at the time of reservation.
For all reservations, a minimum deposit of 50% of the total price is required if the reservation is made 31 or more days in advance of the first date of service confirmed by ALIO. For any reservation which includes an airline ticket, full payment of the airline ticket is required at the time of reservation.
Full payment must be received in our office no later than 30 days prior to the first date of service confirmed by ALIO. If payment has not been received by the due date, the reservation will automatically be cancelled and the applicable cancellation charges will be levied.
Prices and itineraries are only guaranteed once tickets are issued.
The airline tickets are issued once ALIO receives a satisfactory guarantee of payment or payment in full, and the airline tickets CANNOT BE MODIFIED IN ANY WAY and are NOT REFUNDABLE, TRANSFERABLE, ENDORSABLE OR EXCHANGEABLE, NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER TERM OR CONDITION TO THE CONTRARY. Passengers are responsible for confirming their flights at least 24 hours before each flight.
The travel agency furthermore agrees that, in circumstances where one or more debit memos could be issued by an airline, the travel agency shall advise its client(s)/ticket purchaser(s) that the airline issuing the ticket(s) may debit ALIO and that the travel agency is entitled to claim and demand from the client(s)/ticket purchaser(s) the sum being debited by each such debit memo.
Although most travel, including travel to international destinations, is usually completed without incident, travel to certain destinations may involve greater risk than others. ALIO urges travel agents and passengers to review travel prohibitions, restrictions, warnings, announcements and advisories issued by the Government of Canada or of the travel destination prior to booking travel to international destinations. Upon receipt of the travel documents and any related invoice, the travel agency is obliged to verify the exactness of the travel documents and information and to immediately advise ALIO of any error, omission or inexactitude ALIO has made or committed, failing which ALIO shall not be held responsible in any way for any damages resulting therefrom. If ALIO is not advised of any error, omission or inexactitude, the travel agency shall be deemed to have requested the tickets or other travel documents in the form and manner in which they were issued, and shall be solely liable to its client(s) for any damage and additional cost resulting therefrom. IN CASE OF ANY ERROR, OMISSION OR INEXACTITUDE MADE OR COMMITTED BY ALIO, ALIO'S SOLE RESPONSIBILITY SHALL BE TO USE ITS BEST EFFORTS TO ATTEMPT TO CORRECT SUCH ERROR, OMISSION OR INEXACTITUDE, AND ALIO SHALL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES IN THE EVENT IT IS UNABLE TO DO SO. HOWEVER, AIRLINE TICKETS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO BE MODIFIED IN ANY MANNER IF ANY ERROR, OMISSION OR INEXACTITUDE OCCURS.
Please be advised that any booking(s) totaling ten (10) passengers or more traveling on identical itineraries or dates constitutes a group. All groups must be booked through the ALIO Groups Department. Failure to do so could result in the cancellation of all related bookings by the airline, an action for which ALIO will not be held responsible.
Hotel: Any cancellation/modification made 31 days or more before check-in will not be subject to any penalties, unless otherwise specified at time of booking. Changes to existing files made between 30 and 8 days prior to check-in will be subject to fees of $20 per room booked. Files cancelled between 30 and 8 days prior to check-in will not be subject to any penalties, unless otherwise specified at time of booking. For changes and cancellations made between 7 days to 3 days prior to check-in, there will be a penalty equivalent to the hotel cost for the first night of the stay plus $50 per room booked. Within 2 calendar days of check-in date, all cancelled/modified files will be fully non-refundable. No refunds will be given for checking out early. All unused portions are non-refundable. All charges levied by hotels are payable by the travel agency.
Air: In addition to the carrier's penalties (if applicable), service fees of $50 per ticket plus taxes apply to each void, refund, reissue or exchange, in cases where the airline accepts to void, refund, reissue or exchange a ticket.
All charges levied by hotels, credit cards, service providers, communication charges, and courier services will also be charged.
ALIO strongly recommends the purchase of complete cancellation, luggage and medical insurance in order to be well protected in case of sickness, cancellation and/or loss or damage of luggage.
Hotel rooms will be assigned upon arrival. Bedding type and special requests cannot be guaranteed and no refund will be given in the event that the hotel is unable to fulfill the request(s) made. Bedding type and special requests are at the discretion of the hotelier and will be allocated based on availability at check-in. ALIO will not be responsible if hotels do not comply.
If, for reasons beyond our control, the accommodations described in the ALIO brochures are not available, ALIO and its agents reserve the right to relocate their clients to other hotels of a similar or superior quality.
ALIO confirmations for single, double/twin, triple or quad rooms only refer to the number of full paying passengers. The confirmations do not refer in any way to the number or type of beds within the room. ALIO cannot guarantee special requests and will take no responsibility if hotels do not comply.
The prices indicated in our brochures are valid for a period of 60 days after publication of any brochure. For prices applicable to all reservations made after the initial 60 days, please consult our representatives. ALIO reserves the right to modify prices without notice. Published prices may occasionally be higher than those advertised by hotels.
ALIO is a division of TOURS NEW YORK INC. ALIO and its employees and agents act only as representatives of the passengers and accept no responsibility for the passengers or for the quality of services provided in hotels, on board aircraft, trains, buses or any other vehicle used in connection with the trip, nor for delays, luggage loss or damage, or accidents incurred by passengers resulting from the use of these means of transportation, whatever the cause. If, for the comfort or well-being of passengers or for any other reason, it becomes necessary or advisable to change itinerary or arrangements, these changes will be made without any penalty to the operators. Passengers will bear the additional expenses, if any. Conversely, a refund will be paid out if the changes result in savings.
When acting as a travel agent for the sale of ALIO's travel products to customers, the travel agency is acting as ALIO's representative and mandatary and as such, undertakes to bring to its clients' attention and to advise them of all of ALIO's terms and conditions and all information relating to the purchase of said products, as indicated in ALIO's published material (including among others its website and brochures); the travel agency further undertakes to abide by all the communications, including terms and conditions, directives, instructions, notices, norms, methods and procedures issued by ALIO from time to time, and in particular those related to advertising, commercialization and publication of the tariffs of ALIO's travel products. In addition, the travel agency undertakes to respect all laws and regulations, whether provincial or federal, which apply to the sale of travel products offered by ALIO. Furthermore, the travel agency undertakes to advise its clients of all the terms, conditions and restrictions applicable to tickets and other travel documents, as well as travel conditions, and to ensure that its clients accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Information concerning arrivals and departures must be provided at the time of the reservation; otherwise, no transfers will be provided. Travelers should re-confirm their transfers with the appropriate service provider at least 24 hours prior to the service being required.
Regardless of the circumstance, the responsibility of ALIO shall be limited to reimbursement of the ticket cost only. The entertainment tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-modifiable.
No refunds or adjustments will be made for portions of the trip or related services not taken or used.
Luggage is carried by transporters at the passenger's risk and ALIO accepts no responsibility whatsoever for loss, theft or damage to luggage; ALIO therefore strongly recommends that all travelers obtain luggage insurance prior to embarking on their trip.
For all reservations or transactions made with a credit card, the travel agency undertakes to respect all the terms and conditions of the issuer of the credit card. In particular, the travel agency undertakes to take such action as is necessary to ensure that the cardholder sign the appropriate chit, that said signature be adequately verified, and that the transaction be mechanically verified and authorized by the issuer. In addition, a clear copy of both the front and back sides of the credit card is required in order to complete a payment by credit card. The travel agency undertakes to respect all the terms and conditions of the issuer of the credit card, which signifies that it is in the travel agency's best interest to verify the terms and conditions of the credit card issuing companies which apply from time to time. In the event of refusal by the credit card issuer to honor a payment for any reason whatsoever, the travel agency is solely responsible for the costs and to pay to ALIO all sums due pursuant to the invoice.
If payment is to be made by cheque, the cheque must be received in ALIO's office no later than 10 business days before the ticket(s) is (are) to be issued. For any GROUP transaction of 10 passengers or a single order of reservations in excess of a value of $ 4,000, tickets must be paid in full 10 business days before the tickets are to be issued, notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary. Within 10 business days of issuance of ticket(s), acceptable forms of payments are certified cheques or bank drafts, money orders or wire transfers. Credit card payments are also accepted, but fees may apply.
Responsibility of Travel Agency

It is the travel agency's responsibility to apply payment during business hours, before the end of the day of your booking option. Failure to do so may result in the auto-cancellation of your PNR or a higher fare basis being used. Rebooking might not be valid due to advance purchase and ticketing deadlines.
The word "tour" includes accommodation, services and transportation as described in the brochures published by ALIO or TOURS NEW YORK INC. The word "passenger" applies to the person to whom the ticket is issued, to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns. The passenger to whom a ticket is issued automatically becomes bound by these Terms and Conditions, and it is incumbent upon the travel agency to ensure that the passengers have taken cognizance of and accepted the present Terms and Conditions.
ALIO reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions, as well as Notices, under which this website and ALIO's travel services and products are offered. The exercise of this right by ALIO shall not affect the existing Terms and Conditions accepted by travel agencies upon making a legitimate reservation or purchase using ALIO's website or other booking means.
All requests must be received by ALIO within 30 days of the last travel date, failing which the request will be declined.
This website is for the personal and non-commercial use of the travel agent. The content and information on this website (including, without limitation, price and availability of travel services or products), as well as the infrastructure used to provide such content and information, is proprietary to ALIO or its suppliers and providers. Accordingly, as a condition of using this website, you agree not to use this website or its content or information for any commercial or non-personal purpose (direct or indirect), except as is strictly required for the reservation and purchase of travel products and services from ALIO and provided same is made personally by the travel agent. Travel agents agree not to use this website or cause it to be used by automated electronic means and further agree not to re-distribute the information contained herein in any manner whatsoever. While as a travel agent you may make limited copies of the travel itinerary (and accessory documents) related to the purchase of travel services or products from ALIO, you agree not to modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, sell or re-sell any information, software, products or services obtained from ALIO's website. ALIO is not responsible for any documents lost as a result of any third party delivery services nor for the consequences of such loss.
All trips outside Canada require a valid Canadian passport and travel to certain countries may require you to hold a passport that is valid for six months beyond the date of the expected return to Canada. Canadian citizens born in certain countries may require a visa in addition to a valid passport.
